Yo-Yo is one of the most evolving sports in the world. Things move so fast that the competitors are defining the rules. In an unprecedented turn of events, the 2013 Bay Area Classic was host to the first tie in a freestyle division. Watching both Gentry and Luis, you’d be hard pressed to find a definitive winner. As The World Championships gets closer, what these 2 will bring to the stage is on everyones mind.

Coming in 3rd… or is it 2nd?… Mexico National Champion, Paul Kerbel. After Worlds last year his name was at the end of everyones recap. The 2013 Session has shown Paul as a true competitor for a World title. With a National title already under his belt, he’s got a spot in the final round which gives him a lot of breathing room. At BAC, he was a big crowd favorite and judging by the routine, you can see why!

In the yo-yo scene we have the the great opportunity to create and invent new ways to play every day. One of the most innovative players is undeniably, Jason Lee. Jason’s newest video part is shot on location the Great Wall of China and Tiananmen Square and features some of the new planebending moves hes been developing.

We’ve been seeing many great young players coming up in Prague recently. But not so fast, or strong, as Matouš Tomeš. He’s only 14 years old, but has won the last 2 contest he’s entered, and earned himself a spot on our team as a Protége to Vashek! Welcome to the team!

We’re back on the road! This time, we’ll be at Roseville in Northern California. Make sure to stop by at either Learning Express location and learn from the Pros! The first week US National Champion Tyler Severance will be joined by Mexico National Champ Paul Kerbel and 44Clash Champ Luis Enrique. On the 2nd week Tyler will be joined by former US National Champion, Harold Owens III! Some amazing people to learn from, be sure to stop by and hang out!

On Saturday, June 1st we will be holding a big Yo-Yo Contest at the Galleria from 11am to 2pm. There will be fun contests and prizes so no matter your skill level, come out for a day of amazing yo-yo tricks and great entertainment!
