We’re back on the road! This time, we’ll be at Roseville in Northern California. Make sure to stop by at either Learning Express location and learn from the Pros! The first week US National Champion Tyler Severance will be joined by Mexico National Champ Paul Kerbel and 44Clash Champ Luis Enrique. On the 2nd week Tyler will be joined by former US National Champion, Harold Owens III! Some amazing people to learn from, be sure to stop by and hang out!

 

On Saturday, June 1st we will be holding a big Yo-Yo Contest at the Galleria from 11am to 2pm. There will be fun contests and prizes so no matter your skill level, come out for a day of amazing yo-yo tricks and great entertainment!

Aloha! Come join National Yo-Yo Champions Tyler Severance and Alex Garcia as they tour Hawaii! Hot (or cold rather) off the YoYoFactory Rocky Mountain Tour, Tyler hits the island for some fun in the sun! Bellow are the current tour appearances that Tyler and Alex will be at. Come by and meet the Pros, learn some tricks and pick up some awesome yo-yos from our retailers! YoYoFactory Rocky Mountain Tour Wordmark

 

YoYoFactory is proud to announce the YoYoFactory Rocky Mountain Tour 2013. We will be touring the Great state of Colorado for 3 weeks, visiting Denver, Fort Collins and Colorado Springs areas. Below are all the details you’ll need to catch the YoYoFactory Team’s many appearances.

 

March 29th-30th and April 6th-7th

Copper Mountain: USASA Nationals (United States of America Snowboard Association)

10am- 6pm

YoYoFactory is proud to partner with the USASA as a sponsor of the 2013 Nationals. We will be on site teaching, showing off, running contests and you can even pick up some yo-yos if you want!

On Saturday April 20th we are holding the Colorado Springs Yo-Yo Contest right down the street from YoYoLoco at the Soda Springs Park Pavilion! We’ve got something for EVERY skill level. From 11-1 we’ll do the Classic Division. This is for all the competitors who are just getting started in yo-yo and it’ll be a lot of fun. After lunch from 2 to 4 we’ll have the Advanced Division for competitors to get on stage and do freestyles set to music. Check out all the rules here.

Everyone gets 2 tries per trick. When you’ve done all the tricks you know how, that’s your score. Whoever does the most on the list WINS!
Classic Tricks:
1. Sleeper
2. Forward Pass
3. Walk The Dog
4. Break Away
5. Rock The Baby
6. Bikini
7. Elevator
8. Around The Corner
9. UFO
10. Sky Rocket
The player with the most tricks at the end will be crowned TYPE CITY
Champion!
If more then 1 players is left in a tie, a long sleeper contest will be held to decide
the winner.

 

Advanced Division

 

We’re requesting that all music be brought on a portable electronic music
player. Player should have a 3.5 mm (standard headphone plug size) to be
connected.

 

Positive points shall be awarded for advanced level tricks or trick elements
performed successfully. Variations of tricks and elements shall be fully
scored.

 

Repeated tricks, repeated trick elements and repeated mounts may be
scored at a lower value or not scored at all.
In all divisions, 1-point shall be deducted for :
Missing Trick Elements
Loss Of Control

Major Deductions will be made for:
YoYo Restart
YoYo Switch

Scores will be calculated using the following break down:

Positive/Negative : 80 Point Maximum
Net Scores (positive points minus negative points) shall be normalized to 80.

Performance Evaluation: 20 Point Maximum
Judges will score on a 0-20 point scale based on Showmanship, Music Use, Creativity, Risk, etc.

Freestyles will be 2 minutes in length.
